Money Matters

Generally, most questions can be answered through a visit to the Student Financial Services Website, including information on Tuition & Fees, Scholarships, Awards & Bursaries, Financial Advising, Government Financial Aid (including OSAP), Employment, Refunds, etc.

Tuition & Fees

Information on Undergraduate Tuition and Fees for domestic and international students is available from York’s Future Students website, http://futurestudents.yorku.ca/tuition/intl.

You can figure out specific fees for Graduate and Undergraduate Programs through the Student Financial Services Course and Program Fees webpage.   Select your program from the appropriate Undergraduate or Graduate drop down menu: Undergrads should select “Fine Arts,” while grads should select “Graduate Studies”.

The Clown Show, 2008, Lauren McGill.

Course Material Fees

All Theatre courses require payment of material fees to cover costs of materials distributed to the students. Such fees are added to your tuition.

Awards & Scholarships

The Faculty of Fine Arts Student & Academic Services site has plenty of information on Awards and Scholarships. See http://www.yorku.ca/finearts/sas/financial.htm for more information on pan-faculty awards, and awards targetted specifically at theatre students. For many (but not all) of these you must show financial need by filling out the Student Financial Profile. For many of these awards, you won’t be considered for them if you don’t apply! For more information, see How To Apply for Awards.

Financial Aid

Student Financial Services http://sfs.yorku.ca/aid/  is your link to information on Government Financial Aid, including Scholarships & Bursaries like the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).

International Students: http://international.yorku.ca/intlstud/funding/funding.htm has information on Scholarships and Bursaries that are available for International Students, advice on looking for funding from external sources, and information on your options with regard to working while a student at York.
